Holy Smokes!

And now for an update about today's tea.  This morning I had my usual morning chai (Tali's Masala Chai, World Tea House) on the way to work.
For lunch I went up to World Tea House yet again.  Today I decided to try the Russian Caravan.

Holy Smokes, batman!  This is delicious!  It's like drinking everything that's good about smoked mackerel, but not nearly as gross as what comes to mind when you think of drinking smoked mackerel.  In fact, it's really more the smokeyness, rather than the mackerel.  Although I do quite like fish.  Don't think I'd want to drink one though...

Anyway, it's full and smokey, and has a taste that kind of dances it's way toward bitter but stops before it's unpleasant.  It even went great with my sandwich.  Next paycheck, I'm picking up a tin, for sure.

On my way out I got more hot water for my mug again (Thanks Phil!) and now I'm just waiting for my workday to end.  Hmm...what a wonderful cup of tea. <3

  1. FYI the Russian Caraven is a blend of Lapsang Souchong (smoked tea) and Keemun; both from China.
